Dhamakapella is Case Western Reserve University's international a cappella group. Their goal is to bring a unique blend of Western and South Asian music to Case, surrounding neighborhoods, and college campuses across the nation.
Founded in 2005, the group has grown to 18 members and continues performs alongside some of the best a capella groups in their genre. They perform a variety of music ranging from the crooning melodies of Michael Buble to Hip Hop sensations Jason Derulo and Jay Sean along with Bollywood songs of all varieties. The group put out their first studio album in April of 2011, "Pehli Nazar: First Look" and recently placed second at a national South Asian A Cappella Competition at the University of California, Berkeley.
